Julie has been working in the Health & fitness industry since 1994 and has treated people with many types of injury.
Over the years she has seen increasing numbers of people with postural and muscular imbalance related problems.
Having trained with Thomas Myers and James Earls in the UK and Australia she specialises in Myofascial work and is a fully certified KMI Structural Integration practitioner, working to return the body to it’s natural balance and function and is an assistant teacher on the KMI and Anatomy Trains courses in Australia.
Julie also teaches Pilates, her training has been with Modern Pilates, Polestar Pilates and she is fully certified Matwork and Equipment with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) one of world’s leading teacher trainers for clinical pIlates.
Julie holds the Reps level 4 certificate as a specialist instructor in exercise for backcare.
The training in Pilates and connective tissue work allows Julie to give sessions combining the hands on work with Pilates and movement exercise, using the Anatomy Trains connections to see beyond the painful areas to where the underlying root of the problem may be.
She is also co-founder of Pilates East Anglia in the UK.
