Hi there! I’m Kyle. I’m interested in helping us to be more independent in achieving our health goals. I have tried to enlarge my skillsets over the years to be more able to help us address the root causes of our issues.
I love Manual Therapy – it’s my favorite (can you tell?)!
In my Manual Therapy sessions with clients, I use my own combinations of many styles of Bodywork, encompassing: Soft Tissue Therapy, Shiatsu, Seitai, Yumeiho, Zenthai, Chi Nei Tsang, Strain Counterstrain, Muscle Energy Technique, Trigger Point, Craniosacral and SomatoEmotional Release, Visceral, Neural, Vascular, Manual Articular Approach (these last 4 aka Barral), Respiratory Assisted Technique, Myofascial and Advanced Myofascial, Reflexology, Sustained Acupressure, some special techniques of my own invention, and more. Sometimes I work on a mat on the floor, and sometimes on a table. Typically clients remain clothed. For a more comprehensive list of my training please visit http://www.iahp.com/Kyle-Grimshaw-Jones/
I am particularly excited at the moment about Yumeiho http://www.yumeiho.com.au/ I have just completed a 3 day intensive training with Tibi and will soon be offering this service in clinic.
In my Acupuncture sessions, I commonly use the Japanese styles from Dr Nakano and Kiiko Matsumoto. These are palpation-based styles, where we feel body reflexes and choose points to change them, and then check that we have. It uses smaller gauge needles than most Chinese styles, generally with gentler needle sensations also.
In my Naturopathy I utilise Manual Therapy and reflex palpation, Iridology, Lifestyle and Dietary Analysis, Western Herbs, Nutrients and other supplements. I’m old-school as well, making in my Guanaba dispensary creams, tonics, pessary liquids, and bowel fibres with added nutrients, etc. Some of these are general formulas, and others are customised for the individual. I had the good fortune to sit in clinic with Robert Fraser, a well-known old-school Naturopath, who taught me a lot about herbs and nutrients. I still use many of his formulas today. I also use the Oligoscan testing for minerals and heavy metals. This is a spectrophotometer that is used to measure from the skin on the palm of your hand. http://www.oligoscan.net.au/
