Myofascial Release

Myofascial release addresses long-term chronic problems, restriction and immobility.

Myofascial release can profoundly affect the body as a whole; it affects areas and tissue remote from the areas of treatment. It is one of the most effective techniques I have found to address long-term chronic issues for clients with long-term results.

How does Connective Tissue work?

The Fascial network not only gives our body its shape, but it also plays an essential role in transmitting, enhancing and restricting movement.

It is the glue and fabric that holds our body together, it surrounds every muscle fibre, every organ, in fact, almost every structure in our body.

Connective Tissue truly is a continuous connection throughout the body. Imagine it like a spider’s web, when it is pulled in one area, it transmits tension to another.

In many cases, pain or immobility symptoms manifest themselves some distance from the root of the cause.

A bit like pulling on a bit of clothing, the tensions can be felt far from the initial tugging.

Often symptoms are just treated, and although this will give temporary relief finding the cause of the problems will result in more long-term results and relief for clients.

What is Myofascial release?

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a dynamic approach to bodywork that releases myofascial restrictions more effectively than any other technique available. Myofascial Release relieves chronic tension, and clients report increased ease of movement, improved posture, and enhanced self-awareness.

These results are often achieved with remarkable efficiency, providing clients with immediate relief from symptoms without requiring excessive force.

It involves slow, sustained pressure, often while clients are actively moving; this not only addresses the fascia itself but also affects the nervous system and mechanoreceptors. Remedial Massage
